We wanted to get married on a cross-channel ferry. That was the romantic part. 我们想在一艘渡海峡的渡轮上结婚，这是浪漫的部分。 We went to Southampton and couldn't get on because she wasn't English, and she couldn't get the Day Visa to go across. It's the 'Pillar of Hercules' and also they called it the 'End of the World'. They thought the world outside was a mystery, so it was like the Gateway to the World. After answering all these questions many, many times, it got down to: All we were saying was 'Give Peace A Chance'. 我们想「为什麽他们不能在报纸上说些好话呢？」因为我们的宣导最後都被模糊掉，记 者说了什麽其实也无所谓了。在回答这些问题无数次後，最後归纳出的答案是：我们所 要说的就是「给和平一个机会」。 另外几个和这首歌相关的趣事： 1.虽然MV里出现四位成员一起练团的画面，但其实披头四录制这首歌时乔治和林哥一个 不在英国、一个跑去拍电影，约翰又急着想把这首歌完成，所以最後就只有约翰和保 罗负责这首歌的录制：约翰负责主唱和吉他，保罗负责合声、贝斯、钢琴和鼓。这在 1969年这个大家普遍认为约翰和保罗两人间已经关系很糟的氛围下还能一起完成这首 作品根本是奇蹟。因此这首又被外国歌迷称作「The Ballad of John and Paul」。 在其中一个take中，你可以听到曲子一开始约翰对着在鼓座上的保罗说： 'Go a bit faster, Ringo.' 「要快一点，林哥。」 而保罗也回约翰： 'OK, George!' 「没问题，乔治！」 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwzHeAnFqrk 不过，後来被问到这首歌时，乔治反应倒是很冷淡： 'I didn't mind not being on the record, because it was none of my business. If it had been 'The Ballad of John, George and Yoko', then I would have been on it. 「我不介意没参与到那首歌这件事，因为那不干我的事。如果那首歌是叫做『约翰、 乔治和洋子的情歌』那我就会参与了。」 2.因为这首歌的副歌出现了「Christ」和「crucify（钉上十字架）」因此当时引起了不 少争议：部分美国电台拒绝播放这首歌，澳洲电台则是把「Christ」消音掉；而这首 歌的MV中你也能看到，唱到「Christ」时的画面是代表着「注意、警告」的惊叹号。 3.由於歌词中这句「Gibraltar near Spain（西班牙附近的直布罗陀）」在当时为英国 及西班牙间的敏感话题，因此这首歌当时遭到西班牙的佛朗哥政权抗议及抵制。 --
