Substitudes Rooney 6: Showed his customary work-rate to press the Roma defender back and constrict the fullbacks from galloping up. He also caused extra space for Tevez to come alive during the final twenty minutes, and with a little more grace the two strikers could fashioned another goal together. G. Neville 5: Recieved the biggest cheer of the night after making his return from a 14 month lay-off. He was given precious few minutes to regain match fitness. O' shea 5: Came on late and kept things ticking over. AS ROMA Doni 8: Made a number of exceptional saves, some from one on one' s, some from stinging shots, but showed buttered fingers on acouple of occasions. Mancini 7.5: Was Roma' s best attacking option, providing width and danger on the ball. He won a dubious penalty, but thoughout the game he was a spark. Vucinic 6.5: He played up fromnt on his own, he linked the play well and was a threat, although mainly from distance. Substitudes Tonetto 6.5: The ageing fullback showed plenty in the little time he had, kepping the width and whipping in numerous dangerous crosses. Giuly 5: Was given little time to affect the game.
