Fabiano had a fantastic 2007/08 season, scoring a whopping 34 goals in all competitions for the Andalusia outfit. The Brazilian striker has been heavily linked with a move to Roma over the past few months, and he has now publicly stated that he wants to join the Giallorossi. “There has been contact with Roma for a long time," said Fabiano. "I will be proud to wear the Giallorossi shirt. “It is not true that I will renew my Sevilla contract – my release clause is set at €12 million." The 27-year-old has a minimum fee release clause in his contract of €12m. However any possible transfer will be complicated as Sevilla only hold 35 % of his ownership, with the other 65 % being held by the third party company, Global Soccer Investment. Fabiano joined Sevilla in 2005 from FC Porto. His other previous clubs include Sao Paulo, Rennes and Ponte Preta.
