the C=C of the alpha, beta-unsaturated carbonyl system showed
the polarized electronic nature.
the peroxide, generated from H2O2 and NaOH, is a good nucleophile
for 1,4-addition reaction.
as OOH- attacted on beta-carbon, the enloate back-attacked onto the
peroxide to release a hydroxide and to form the alpha-carbonyl oxirane.
