題目:
An electrochemical proton gradient is used to synthesize ATP in mitochondria.
The PH inside the mitochondria membrane is 1.5 unit lower than outside
and the inside potential is -0.2V relative to the outside.
Inside the mitochondria. [Pi] = [ADP] = [ATP] = 1 mM. T = 37 C
(a) How much free energy is required to synthesize 1 mol of ATP
inside the mitochondria?
(via the reaction ADP + Pi -> ATP)
Assume that all the activity coefficients are 1.
Is the process spontaneous?
(b)How much free energy is released by moving 1 mol of proton
from the outside to the inside?
(c)If all the free energy from proton transport is used to synthesize ATP,
how many protons have to be transported to synthesize 1 molecule of ATP?
我的想法是
(a) 欲生成1 mole ATP 需要 ADP & Pi 各 1 mole,
故所需要的自由能即為 ADP & Pi 的混和自由能之合
利用 △Gmix = RT Σ ni ln ( ri xi )
解出△Gmix為負的,不知道這樣代表什麼含意?
需要負的自由能才能生成ATP? 或者該用什麼方法求?
(b) 1 mole 質子從外面流向裡面,相當於 1 mole 電子從裡面流向外面,
利用 △G = - z F ε 可以求出自由能變化量
(c) 需要由(a)的答案去作答,但我卡在我覺得(a)解起來怪怪的,
