請問大家一個單字問題
civil engineering =土木工程
這個我懂很久了
但是我想問一個問題
那就是：「為什麼civil engineering =土木工程？？」
以下是牛津字典中civil跟civil engineering的詞條

civil沒有一個定義跟土木有關
那為什麼civil engineering =土木工程？？
是因為跟國民或平民的生活息息相關嗎？
還是有什麼其他典故？？
請知道的人解釋一下
