標題[Ask ] How should I explain this?

How should I explain the difference between "one" and "it" as following example
Ex.1 I want a CD player, but I don't have money to buy "ONE".
Ex.2 I want this CD player, but I don't have money to buy "IT".
Ex.3 This blue watch is better than my old "ONE".
I do know when I should use "one" and when I should use "it", but the problem
I'm having now is that I can't really explain it well.
Here is my explaination:
"One" is used to replace the noun mentioned earlier in the context. Every
none specific noun can be replaced. Ex.1 for instance, I just want a CD player
i don't care what color it is or where it's from. It's not specific.
In Chinese it's called "非限定"
In Ex.2 "it" means a specific noun. What I want is this specific CD player.
In Chinese it's called "限定".
Ex. 3 is exactly what confuses me now. Since "my old watch" is a specific thing
why we use "one" to replace it instead of "it"?
Could someone please help me?
