Hey, my name is Leo, and I am a college student who's about to graduate in the year to come.I am pissed off by some things that people do, and I think that ppl should really think twice before they do it. First, I have no idea why ppl always like to look at me like I'ma freak(or sometimes even roll their eyes) when I speak languages that they cannot understand? Say, English, Spanish or even Thai. I love foreign languages, especially the ones that I mentioned above, so basically I grasp every single chance to practice. I speak in English when I go jogging, yes! I talk to myself, asking myself questions and try to response them, and I gotta tell you, I love this feeling! Whereas everytime when people hear me chat with my friends in foreign languages, just as what I have mentioned, those ppl that I don't know seem to despise me. One of my American friends says it's probably that those ppl who can't catch up with your words might be worried that you might say something behind thier back. Well, I cannot be really convinced. Anyway, it is totally weird and I just think those ppl are pathetic. Second, what really pisses me off is the grammar issue, yeah, I know I might have made several mistakes when I type or write. But ppl really like to pick out words, phrases, tense, clauses that they think you use wrong. And they like to judge your point of view just by how many mistakes you make. I mean, yeah, ppl make mistakes, that's why we should keep practicing. I know those mistakes never end, but so that's why you should try harder, right? Don't let these ppl get you down with their so called "pathetic grammar." Everytime when I see ppl judging others' "pathetic grammar," I can't help but asking,"So, do you even have guts to express your opinion in English?", "Have you ever tried?", or "Is your English perfect?" I might have gone too far and kinda over-reacting,but language acquiring is indeed a long run, and we should all keep trying and practicing. To all these dumbass. :) --
