Hello Pho, If you were asking when then I'd say its from the beginning of time, if not the beginning of Brit Settler first set foot on the American land ;) I myself am fond of Brit Eng since it usually sounds more elegant, it's a personal taste thing and it may or may not apply to anyone. But to me, Brit Eng makes sense, whereas American Eng appears to be annoying (to me). "You're sick" is a phrase more often seen in the films and on TV, where as in real life (or so I believe), even the native American may not bring this word up all that often, since it's more of a phrase that the teenagers use, or people may use it with their teenage friend as a sign of intimacy. Dammit, I hate to hear this phrase too... Just on a side note, do you know that The American speak English yet they invented words that are already existed? Words like "Transportation" is a great example, while the word "Transport" is already there...
