That we are are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.” 任何一個人做的一件事情都會直接間接的影響他人 每個事件都有前因後果，人是無法獨立於世上! Captain ”I figure it's like in the Bible, the Adam and Eve deal?” the Captain said. ”Adam's first night on earth? When he lays down to sleep? He thinks it's all over, right? He doesn't know what sleep is. His eyes are closing and he thinks he's leaving this world, right?” ”Only he isn't. He wakes up the next morning and he has a fresh new world to work with, but he has something eles, too, He has his yesterday.” The Captain grinned. ”the way I see it, that's what we're getting here, soldier. That's what heaven is. You get to make sense of your yesterdays.” 我很喜歡這個故事，簡單卻有很深的意涵 Ruby Ruby stepped toward him. ”Edward,” she said softly. It was the first time she had called him by name. ”Learn this from me. holding anger is a poison. It eats you from inside. We think that hating is aweapon that attacks the person who harmed us. but hatred is acurved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves” ”Forgive, Edward. forgive. Do you remember the lightness you felt when you first arrived in heaven?” Eddie did. Where is my pain? ”That's because no one is born with anger. And when we die, the soul is freed of it. You dance with it.” ”Life has to end,” she said. ”Love doesn't.” Tala...Last Lesson There was apier filled with thousands of people, men and women, fathers and mothers and children-so many children- children from the past and the present, children who had not yet been bron, side by side, hand in hand, in caps, in short pants, filling the boardwalk and the ride and the wooden platforms, sitting on each other's shoulders, sitting in each other's laps.
