DJ URINE是一位聲音藝術家和噪音表演者。 　 看過許多依靠電腦聲音的表演後，再看到這種類比親手操作的方法是非常令人耳目一新的 ，而不是用筆電把音訊片段剪切和貼上。DJ URINE現場會把黑膠唱片破碎化，利用唱片層 疊與唱針迴圈特性發展出奇特的聲音感受，以多種方式組裝，從切片法到丟疊嵌入，同時 在最多1到7個唱盤上播放，以創造出節奏、迴圈和紋理。在許多不同的音樂類別中，整個 過程是以一種深思熟慮和富有想像力的管道進行的，並帶有幽默感，基本上來說內容與概 念是噪音，但並不是強烈破壞性的，其獨特的唱盤使用方式跟行事態度亦是與主流世界價 值對抗。DJ URINE產生精心製作的譟音，其能量始終存在於結果中。” 　 DJ URINE曾與Otto Von Schirach, KK Null, Dj Qbert, Mr Quintron, The Locust, Kid 606, Dino Felipe, Acid Mothers Temple, Trevor Dunn, Silver Apples, Dalek, Aneka Digital Safari, Einstürzende Neubauten, Wu Tang Clang, Venetian Snares, Catheter, Wolf Eyes, Cleric, Senyawa, Saul Wiliiams, astro CCC等等，在 九十年代就開始與這些噪音、前衛先鋒音樂家一起不斷做地下演出，足跡遍及世界各地。 目前則在半年的亞洲巡迴中，因順道去印尼與日本、韓國期間空檔則能再度拜訪台灣，與 台灣樂手交流。 　 "DJ Urine is a sculptor and sound artist with a great passion for his work. After seeing many performances that rely on computerised sound manipulation, it is extremely refreshing to see such a hands on approach. instead of cutting and pasting snippets of audio together on a laptop, Dj Urine (french anagram for Ruine, Nuire & Réuni) reaches for the superglue and creates literal sound collages from fragments of vinyl records. These are assembled in a variety of ways, from the pizza slice method to fine mosaics. and played on up to 1 to 7 phonograph simultaneously, to build up rhythms, loops and textures out of many different musical genres. That whole process is executed in a thoughtful and imaginative way, and with a sense of humour.
