新聞來源 - Sky Sports Jol: Result that counts Martin Jol was happy to see Tottenham Hotspur pick up a win to boost the club's Uefa Cup hopes. Goals from Dimitar Berbatov and Jermain Defoe secured a 2-0 success at Charlton Athletic to lift Spurs into sixth in the table. While there were aspects of the performance to displease Jol, the manager was buoyed by moving into the European places. "I felt that our strikers made the difference," Jol told Sky Sports 1. "Berbatov with that extra quality, later on Jermain Defoe. "I thought we started off well, but later we couldn't keep the ball, that was a problem. "If you do that you always make it difficult for yourself, and the second half was worse probably, but the result is the most important thing. "So, we are very pleased, not because this is Charlton because they are a very, very sympathetic club, but we needed that for the points. "It was really difficult, especially in the second half as they pushed everybody forward. "Maybe it was bit simple with the long ball, but it's always tough when you have to defend that.
