The England stopper underwent knee surgery at the end of last season after aggravating the injury while on international duty. King has always been expected to miss the start of the new campaign, but Jol has confirmed he is unlikely to return until October. Dutch tactician Jol has now hinted summer signing Younes Kaboul will fill the temporary void by playing alongside Michael Dawson at the heart of Spurs' defence. "Ledley had his knee operation at the end of the season and is doing well with his rehabilitation and the specialists are very happy with him," he told the club's official website. "He will still be out for probably another two months but, as with all injuries, it does not serve any real purpose to put a strict timeframe on his return. "I think it is important to stress that we always anticipated Ledley being out for this period of time and we shall give him the time needed to fully recover.
