新聞來源 - goal.com Gilberto Praises Spurs Doctors Tottenham Hotspur full-back Gilberto believes that his excellent performance for Brazil against Canada on Sunday was due to the superb medical attention he has received since joining the North London side. Gliberto joined the Lilywhites from German side Hertha Berlin in January, but initially saw his first-team opportunities limited by a calf injury that had caused him to fail the first medical and put the whole deal in danger. Despite a shaky performance in his first game back from injury, Gilberto gradually began to find his stride, scoring against West Ham and putting in some solid displays in the final weeks of the season. The 32 year old is full of praise for the work that the Tottenham medical staff have put in to get him back from injury and believes that he is in peak condition going into Brazil's World Cup qualifying games later in June. "I am very well treated at Tottenham. I failed my first medical and feared that my injury would effect the deal, but just as it looked like I might not get a chance in England, the club showed great support to me and worked me through my problems," he told Globo Esporte. "I put in a lot of work to strengthen myself and I now reaching my peak condition. Today, I feel better than I have in a long time. I am well, with great power in my legs, and even at the end of the season, I must say that I am in good shape and am ready to show more in the upcoming games.
