Given the fact he is playing so well at the moment people are going to be looking at him. 　　'We live in hope and keep knocking at the door, but it is an exciting time for Steve and I'm sure a lot of clubs would love to sign him.' 　　The former Arsenal trainee has been in excellent form for Reading this season, but was dropped for the weekend's game against Fulham, sparking renewed speculation over his future. 　　Sidwell's contract ends in the summer and there are a host of clubs keen to sign him if he becomes a free agent. 　　Although Aston Villa, Everton, Middlesbrough, Manchester City and Spurs have all been monitoring the situation, the Guardian claims that preliminary talks have already been held with Newcastle and that Sidwell favours a move to the north-east. -- Welcome to the Magpies!! \(￣︶￣)> --
