The Oldenburg Institute for Information Technology (OFFIS), located in Oldenburg in the northwest of Germany, researches new forms of computer-based information processing in hardware and software systems and transfers the results into application-oriented developments. Institutions and industries use this worldwide. The research and development division Multimedia and Internet Information Services is researching key technologies of these developments. Applicants hold an excellent master degree (or equivalent) in computer science or closely related field and have several years of experience in application oriented research in the area of multimedia retrieval or related areas. A PhD is helpful but not mandatory. You are active, curious and willing to move things forward. Fluency in English and good knowledge of German or strong willingness to learn it quickly is expected.
