幾件事要說:
(1) Lisi uses the MacDowell-Mansouri (1977, ref#16 in the Lisi paper) trick
to get around the Coleman-Mandula theorem.
(2) Future experiments done with the LHC will show who is right. If SUSY
particles can be detected experimentally, then we will be confident that
string theory is on the right track, and Lisi's theory is fundamentally
wrong. The next few years will be exciting years for fundamental physics.
(3) Lisi is not a stupid person. He double-majored in physics & math at UCLA,
and graduated from UCLA with the highest honors. He got a Ph.D. in physics
from UCSD. With such an excellent academic background, why did he not do what
most Ph.D. graduates normally do (i.e. looking for teaching or research
positions in universities or research institutes)? Instead, he has spent most
of his time following his dreams outside the academic community. Physics
has been nothing more than a hobby to him. Doing such a kind of the things
takes courage and persistence!
