Saunders talked to his team Friday about depth and how he often approaches it.
He said he usually has eight players go about 30 minutes apiece, with two other
guys receiving time based on matchups or foul trouble. The remaining three
players who dress for games are at the ready.
But that philosophy could change with this Wolves squad.
"We have the potential to be a lot deeper team than teams that I've had in the
past," Saunders said.
In order to be deeper, players higher on the depth chart will need to buy in,
meaning a willingness to play about 25 minutes instead of 30, so more players
can get minutes.
"The most encouraging thing is our guys out here are encouraging other players
when they are on the sidelines and on the bench," Saunders said.
