3 major Taiwan tours from us in May (Keren Ann, The Penelope[s] and the legendary Don McLean) French Institute in Taipei for the great music of their shore! _________________________________________________________________ Just a quick note for 3 major tours from us in this up coming May. First two is co-presenting with the great French Institute in Taipei. We are cerebrating the up coming great French talents in the music industry (mmmm….I know…I know….right we tried Daft Punk too expensive so don't even think about it …not at all). French Institute in Taipei is proudly presenting two of the country's best rising stars…Keren Ann and the second visit of electronic duo The Penelope[s]. Keren Ann and The Penelope[s] _________________________________________________________________ Both in Taiwan already got quite of its followings (especially Keren Ann was release locally via EMI, also from the buzz of an incident few years ago that her album cover clashed with a Taiwanese folk singer…you know what I am talking about :p ). Keren Ann started beautifully with her debut LP "La Biographie de Luka Philipsen", it quickly hits well in most part of Europe, however not until "Not Going Anywhere" which released internationally…the world finally see her beauty. Her latest success of state side comes with 2007 release - a No. 11 on the Billboard Top Jazz chart. After her first English LP in 2003, pretty much all albums doing so well in Asia. That's why she is finally taking Taipei as one of her tour stop in this up coming far east tour. They are all coming in the mid-May period for an one off club show at the Wall (Keren 16th, The Penelope[s] 17th). The exciting news is The Penelope[s] is taking the great Digihai to share the great night with them in the mid-May. You can get the ticket for just one night or choice both nights for a cheaper price. The legendary Don McLean to tour in May _________________________________________________________________ And then…..finally the one who is an important icon of great 20th century American pop music history. The one who is not only inspired Roberta Flack's No. 1 classic hit world wide "Killing Me Softly with His Song", he was also inducted to "Songwriters' Hall of Fame" and "Grammy Hall of Fame". The icon also had a history of peaked London's famous Hyde Park with 85,000 strong crowds in his heyday. This is only the second time in recent year he is touching down to Asia beside his huge Hong Kong arena show a few years back. Yes… Madonna covered his classic "American Pie"…so you know who it is….the legendary Don McLean is confirmed his first ever visit to Taiwan for an one off performance (also with other his classics "Vincent", "Crying" and many many more). The show will be hold at Taiwan University Sport Center @ 6th of May. More info and full Chinese press release will be out in a few days…checking concert listing from the usual outlets.
