Strait Talk is a non-partisan and student-run dialogue program that seeks to
transform international conflict by connecting young people from both sides
of the Taiwan Strait and the United States.
Every year in April, the Berkeley chapter of Strait Talk selects a total
number of 15 delegates from the US, mainland China (including HK and Macao),
and Taiwan to attend a week-long symposium that includes: 40 hours of ICR
(Interactive Conflict Resolution) sessions facilitated by a professional
moderator, a series of public panels presenting prominent scholars in
various fields ranging from economics and political science to sociology
and journalism, and a culminating final consensus document that will
circulate among relevant policymakers.
Strait Talk Berkeley is currently recruiting young professionals as well as
students to attend the Strait Talk Symposium in April 2013. If you are
interested in becoming a delegate, the applications for Strait Talk Berkeley
2013 are now up on our website:

"The Strait Talk Symposium was one of the highest quality and most productive
efforts at promoting cross-Strait dialogue that I have ever attended...
These may seem like small steps but they are essential and very deserving
of continued support."
-Thomas B. Gold , Associate Professor
University of California, Berkeley
"Strait Talk is a brilliant and creative idea, all the more remarkable
because it is the creation of undergraduates. This project has the potential
to build important bridges across a historically tense divide, and it comes
at a very auspicious time."
-Ambassador Richard Holbrooke
