Haha~ When I was in turkey, whenever I call home, this is exactly the same question my parent ask. in additional, "it's chaos out there, lot's of wars" I actually do'nt know how to explain everything to them but reply "not like that, I am very safe!" But they are my parents, I can understand. : "土耳其人是中東人對吧?! 中東人好像都蠻沒水準的耶!!" : (O.S.明明就是西亞!!!) : "外國人都只是玩玩而已,妳別再被騙了" : (O.S. 妳乾脆說外國人都是外星人好了!!) sort of, when some of my friends know that my bf is a turkish, "oh, turkish, he must be handsome!" or "oh, turkish, they are notorious!" Basically, I take those as positive concern. : "原來妳一直練習英文就是要釣個外國人" : (O.S. 這世界上學英文的人目的都在互相釣來釣去嗎?!) : ＊最讓我印象深刻的是＊ : "聽說他們翻滾的技巧跟姿態都很多很不錯?!" : (O.S. >\\\\\\\\\< ) : "他長這麼高,size 一定很大吧?!" : (O.S. 這是不能說的秘密!! XD ) yeah...this one is also impressive to me. I doubt thatg they dare to ask...however, they did! : "聽說他們很大男人?!" : (O.S. 不全都是這樣吧?!) My experience: chauvinism! my friend said that with definate tone, which means telling me to watch out! Or "oh-o, turkish? people in middle-east beat wife...." : "以後我們去土耳其旅遊就全靠妳啦!!" : (O.S. 帶妳們去地中海游泳?! XD ) : (啊~~最後一天上班.....大家士氣低落......) the rest of event such as "muslim cant eat pork ne" "oh-o, if you marry with him, you will be a muslim and change name." Frankly, I feel that I' m lucky and not suffer much from this kind of abuse. My best friends support me and respect my decesion. The only concern is my parents by far. Once i really felt hurt is from my neighbor. When she knows that he is a muslim, she told me that lots of terrorists are muslim with a face. Moreover, when she knows that we are in a long distance relationship, she shaked her head and told me to give up asap. Since then, she is on my black list. -- 我要勇敢! 但坦然的確令人心傷! --
