原文: Scoreless-innings streak stops at 30 as ace gets no-decision 最後一局的兩個三振結束了星期一晚上響尾蛇主場的比賽.. Brandon Webb的無失分紀錄停留在第30局,而響尾蛇的四連勝也以3:4中止在費城人的手上 雖然輸了這場比賽,但在國聯西區仍以2.5場的勝差領先道奇,而居於領先.. Webb在他前三場的先發完全零失分,總共投了25局今天第一次面對費城人把無失分推到30局 ,讓費城人前五局無功而返,如此表現之下,打線也先幫他從對方投手Cory Lidle拿下三分的 領先.. 比賽來到六局上,Chase Utley先是一個安打上壘,隨著隊友又ㄧ支安打上到了三壘,不過Pat Burrell適時來個滾地球造成雙殺,但三壘的跑者也因此跑回本壘,Webb的紀錄也就結束在那 一刻了.. "那是個相當長的記錄!!"教練Bob Melvin 說,"可真是個驚人的紀錄啊!!" 當Chase Utley得分之後,全場20644名的觀眾,全都為Webb起立鼓掌喝采.. "那是個好的得分,不過中間維持的過程也很有趣"Webb說,雖然無失分破功且這場比賽並沒 有拿下先發勝投,依然是八勝零敗的傑出表現.."我知道我不可能永遠都不再讓人家得分!!" 事實上許多前輩也告訴他,雖然結束,不過你也可以因此而喘口氣.. "當你有著那樣的表現,只要稍微有點動靜都使得你更得繃緊神經"他說,"哇!有人上壘了!! ,心裡就會想"今晚肯定得相當拼了!!" 問題是那一分對Webb來說還沒完,接下的Ryan Howard 補上ㄧ記陽春彈,讓比分來到了3:2 費城人在七局又用了幾波巧妙的攻勢扳平了比數.. 兩出局之後又讓Jimmy Rollins敲出了右外野的二壘安打,"我真希望那個深遠飛球能讓他之 後只停留在二壘就好"Webb說 Utley followed with a grounder to the right of second baseman Orlando Hudson, who backhanded the ball and looked like he would have been able to throw Utley out had his plant foot not slipped on the outfield grass. That caused his throw to sail low and first baseman Conor Jackson scooped it out in a bang-bang play at first. Jackson looked to first-base umpire Rick Reed to see what his call was and that slight hesitation was all that Rollins needed as he never broke stride as he rounded third and scored ahead of Jackson's throw. "I think I was too worried about the outcome of the play than the actual situation that was at hand," Jackson said. "With two outs and a situation like that, I've got to come up firing home no matter what -- especially with a guy like that on second base. I think we probably should have had the lead going into the seventh." Instead with Rollins' heads-up baserunning the game was tied at 3. "I'm not going to beat Conor up," Melvin said of Jackson, who dropped a throw from Hudson earlier in the game as well. "He's played first very well for a guy that's fairly inexperienced. And sometimes, when you haven't played that long, your gut is to wait for the call. You have to come off and throw home. The guy has played very well for a guy that has not played first base for the better part of a couple years. He's played well."
