Webb在他前三场的先发完全零失分,总共投了25局今天第一次面对费城人把无失分推到30局 ,让费城人前五局无功而返,如此表现之下,打线也先帮他从对方投手Cory Lidle拿下三分的 领先.. 比赛来到六局上,Chase Utley先是一个安打上垒,随着队友又ㄧ支安打上到了三垒,不过Pat Burrell适时来个滚地球造成双杀,但三垒的跑者也因此跑回本垒,Webb的纪录也就结束在那 一刻了.. "当你有着那样的表现,只要稍微有点动静都使得你更得绷紧神经"他说,"哇!有人上垒了!! ,心里就会想"今晚肯定得相当拼了!!" 问题是那一分对Webb来说还没完,接下的Ryan Howard 补上ㄧ记阳春弹,让比分来到了3:2 费城人在七局又用了几波巧妙的攻势扳平了比数.. 两出局之後又让Jimmy Rollins敲出了右外野的二垒安打,"我真希望那个深远飞球能让他之 後只停留在二垒就好"Webb说 Utley followed with a grounder to the right of second baseman Orlando Hudson, who backhanded the ball and looked like he would have been able to throw Utley out had his plant foot not slipped on the outfield grass. That caused his throw to sail low and first baseman Conor Jackson scooped it out in a bang-bang play at first. Jackson looked to first-base umpire Rick Reed to see what his call was and that slight hesitation was all that Rollins needed as he never broke stride as he rounded third and scored ahead of Jackson's throw. "I think I was too worried about the outcome of the play than the actual situation that was at hand," Jackson said. "With two outs and a situation like that, I've got to come up firing home no matter what -- especially with a guy like that on second base. I think we probably should have had the lead going into the seventh." Instead with Rollins' heads-up baserunning the game was tied at 3. "I'm not going to beat Conor up," Melvin said of Jackson, who dropped a throw from Hudson earlier in the game as well. "He's played first very well for a guy that's fairly inexperienced. And sometimes, when you haven't played that long, your gut is to wait for the call. You have to come off and throw home. The guy has played very well for a guy that has not played first base for the better part of a couple years. He's played well."
