我感覺Victorian Age時期的文學走向偏向哲學和美學的研究
Thomas Carlyle and German Idealism, Clothes philosophy
到後來的Dante Gabriel Rossetti and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood Poets
以及 Walter Pater and the Aestheticism
這些文學理論都是很抽象難懂的
這個時期也有些作品是可以從女性主義的觀點來分析的
例如John Stuart Mill: "On Liberty" and "The Subjection of Women;"
Robert Browning: "Porphyria's Lover" and "My Last Duchess;"
