Korean study English so hard but their mother language had a great effect on their English accents at once. A funny thing is that most of my English native speaker friends they can understand Korean's accents at once. In fact, people from every country have different English accents. I met a French traveler last month in Andong(Gyeongsang-do). He spoke English so fluently but his accents was too strong to understand. He used only English and traveled around Korea for 30 days. When I ask him does he think it's inconvenient to travel in Korea he said no and he met many koreans gave him a lot of help. Anyway, of course it's better to live in Korea if you can speak some Korean. But if you only can speak English, don't worry too much because Korean's English ability is not too bad. You just need to wait and get used to their unique accents. --
