標題[創作] 「愛在暹邏」英文心得

Dear Mr. Sakveerakul:
Greetings. I'm Geoffery Chou, a current graduate school matriculate from
Taiwan.
My chance encounter with your famous picture "The Love of Siam" (TLOS)
is probably one of the most curious events in my life. Since the majority of
Taiwanese cinema viewers prefers Hollywood blockbusters, it is usually very
diffucult to see any indepedent productions premiere from foreign country.
However, a group of enthusiastic supporters of yours struggled over all sorts
of difficulties and successfully enabled the release of TLOS in Taiwan. Thanks
to their promotion in PTT(*) Movie board and recommendations in Yahoo Movie,
I decided to see TLOS in Cinemark Kaoshiung.
I went to the theatre alone at midnight, yet returned with a full load of
sensations. TLOS reminded me that I was a person who doesn't care enough
about people around me. Comparing to the relationship exhibited in TLOS,
my relationship with either acquaintances or friends is nothing but a pale
rendition resulted from my irresposible ego. In addition, I found myself a
person who seldom rue the loss of precious lives. I was deeply bemused.
I used to be pround of being alone, yet now I realize that loneliness is no
longer an appropriate choice of life. From now on, I will learn to maintain
a more intimate but healthy relationship with people I know, and a bold yet
sincere contact with people I don't know.
