Palestinian civilian toll climbs as Israel attacks

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip(AP)--The Palestinian civilian death toll mounts as Israel ferociusly pursues Gaza Strip militants who are menacing nearly half of Israel's population with rocket fire.
加薩，加薩走廊（美聯社）--加薩走廊的激進份子以火箭威脅著以色列近一半人口。隨著以色列的猛烈追捕，巴勒斯坦民眾的死亡人數持續上升。
Early on Monday, an airstrike leveled two houses belonging to a single family, killing two children and two adults and injuring 42 people, said Gaza heath official Ashraf al-Kidra. Rescue workers were frantically searching for 12 to 15 people under the rubble.
加薩走廊官員基卓表示，今晨一次空襲夷平了兩棟民宅，造成4死42傷，其中死者包含兩名幼童。搜救人員正迫切搜索還在瓦礫堆下的12至15人。
Shortly after, Israeli aircraft bombarded the ruins of the former national security compound in Gaza City. Al-Kidra says flying shrapnel killed one child and wounded others living nearby.
而在不久後，以色列飛機又轟炸了在加薩的前國家安全住宅區遺跡。基卓說四散的砲彈碎片造成一名孩童死亡及附近居民受傷。
The rising toll was likely to intensify pressure on Israel to end the fighting. Hundreds of civilian casualties in an Israeli offensive in Gaza four years ago led to fierce international condemnation of Israel.
不斷攀升的傷亡人數很有可能增加以色列的壓力，結束戰爭。四年前，以色列在加薩走廊的攻擊造成上百位民眾傷亡，引來國際社會一片撻伐。
國家安全住宅區那裡好像怪怪的……
