Prof. Kenneth Pomeranz应邀担任史语所2006年「新史学讲座」
「新史学讲座」系由《新史学》杂志社捐助史语所所设置，今年特邀请美国艺术
与科学院院士、加州大学Irvine分校历史系Prof. Kenneth Pomeranz（彭慕兰教授）担任
讲座。彭教授主要研究领域为中国及东南亚地区社会史，主要着作有The Making of a
Hinterland: State, Society and Economy in Inland North China,1853-1937.(UC
Press,1993)、The Great Divergence: China、Europe and the Making of the Modern
World Economy, (Princeton University Press, 2000; 中文版《大分流：中国、欧洲、
与现代世界经济的形成》，巨流图书公司出版，2004)。这两本书分别於1994及2000年获
得费正清东亚研究最佳着作奖、美国史学会奖。彭教授此次应邀来院，将於史语所文物馆
5楼会议室举行一场演讲及一场座谈。
