Making his Major League debut, Fu-Te Ni struck out Jason Giambi and
got Kurt Suzuki to fly out to center in relief of Porcello in the
fourth inning.
Ni struck out three in 1 1/3 frames, the only blemish on his scorecard
being a Ryan Sweeney leadoff home run in the sixth.
"He did fine. He looked pretty impressive, actually," Leyland said.
"I think he'll do well. I'm happy for the kid."
