波音将在全世界设立8座787训练中心
1. 8座(five sites)训练中心是: Renton, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, and
Gatwick, U.K.
2. 先前为777机师的转换训练将只需 5天 or more; 其他机种机师需20天+

FAA approves Boeing 787 pilot training courses

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has provisionally approved Boeing's
787 Dreamliner pilot-training courses, Boeing announced Monday.
The provisional approval will allow local FAA offices to approve individual
operator training courses, and Boeing is working with the FAA to obtain
provisional approval of the training devices, allowing customer training to
start. The approvals are provisional until the 787 is fully certified.
"Gaining FAA approval for our courses is a significant milestone as we ramp
up to the start of flight training," Mark Albert, director of simulator
services and the 787 training program, said in a news release. "It validates
our approach to provide world-class training solutions at great value for the
787 Dreamliner."
Boeing's courses allow 777 pilots to qualify to fly the 787 in as few as five
days and other pilots to qualify in up to 20 days. Boeing has eight 787
training suites at five sites: Renton, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, and
Gatwick, U.K.
"Our global network of campuses allows our customers to train where they
want, when they want," said Roei Ganzarski, chief customer officer, Boeing
Training & Flight Services.

Pilots tend to start training a couple of months prior to the plane's
delivery, while maintenance folks begin some time before that. A right-seat
pilot or co-pilot could train on the Dreamliner 787 for up to 24 days, or as
little as seven if the pilot has previous 777 experience under U.K. aviation
regulations.
