Q：when shooting, is the hand part of the ball?
meaning can a defender hit the hand (not wrist)
if the hand is still on the ball?
A："Hand a part of the ball"
has been deleted from the FIBA rule book for some time.
The intent is to leave it to the official to judge whether or not
the contact has placed the shooter at a disadvantage.
