New Jersey Nets rescinded their trade with the Portland Trail
Blazers for forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim after deciding the nine-
year pro's knee problems were too significant to justify a long-
term contract. The Nets then turned around and acquired Marc
Jackson from the Philadelphia 76ers.
