The position is funded by NIH innovator award. Responsibilities will include molecular cloning, protein biochemistry, and maintaining insect cell lines. Prior research laboratory experience required. Expertise in molecular biology (cloning) and protein purification preferred. B.S./B.A. in Biology or Chemistry and minimum two-year commitment is required. An independent project will be assigned with the goal of publication in the near future, which will help with applying for graduate schools or medical schools. Knowledge in structural biology is not necessary at all. The lab is located in Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Competitive salary with benefits will be provided.
