Ortiz is 15 of 30 against Wang with six extra-base hits. Wang, a sinkerball
pitcher, threw more sliders and changeups on Aug. 30 when he threw seven
shutout innings against Boston, allowing one hit.
But Boston was prepared this time.
"The pitch Papi hit for that double was a changeup. We tried to avoid the
sinker," said third baseman Mike Lowell, who singled and walked facing Wang.
"Wang adjusted on us, we adjusted on him."
