They took batting practice (with Kevin Long watching) before bench coach Rob Thomson ran them through infield. Woodward played third. Duncan stuck around later to some drills at first base with Tino Martinez. “I feel great,” said Duncan, who may have broken a bone or two when he shook my hand. “I’m trying to get this first base thing down.” Jeter stopped and spoke to the handful of reporters there. Like everybody else, he’s interested to see what happpens tomorrow in Washington. “You hear so much about it,” he said. “It’s a soap opera.” Chien-Ming Wang made his first appearance in Tampa and had a long conversation with Dave Eiland before playing catch with his new pitching coach. 王建民出现在坦帕。在和新任投手教练传接球之前，两人有非常长的对话。 Wang and the Yankees are scheduled to meet in an arbitration hearing on Thursday.
