标题[问题] 护照提前换新,旧护照上签证/学签是否有效?

我朋友在目前在台湾,因为目前护照快过期 想
提前 换新,
所以问了加拿大在台办事处 想确定还回的来加拿大,
结果很意外的回答是 截角护照里的加拿大签证不能用 (跟美签不同)
不知道有没有人听过或经历过类似情况?
想问这是加拿大所有签证都这样? 还是只有短期签证/学生签证?
PS 我只知道美签可以两本订起来然後入境..没想到加拿大不行
目前卡在,假如截角後签证全部都作废,重办study permit比较麻烦(回去前才刚renew的)
爬文只找到

Update: 之前朋友传真问过签证组,结果他们打电话出来
回答: 1) 学生许可(大签)可以用新旧护照上一起用,但短期签证(小签)不行 (?! XD)
2) 他们(签证组??)电话外人无法打进去,只有他们打出来
後来打他们电话想请他们把这回答传真出来确认..又找不到人了 (说是不同地方..)
想请问楼上甚麽时後入境的?
