The massive move from Harlington took place over the last two days and is complete. Indoor facilities at Cobham are temporary but excellent, while the three pitches with under-soil heating are all in fantastic condition. One was used today. The goalkeepers have a dedicated area, an indoor pitch is available when required, and the Academy has a separate area where future first team players will be involved from aged eight. Chelsea last owned a training ground in Mitcham back in the 1970s but had to sell it because of financial problems caused by the building of the East Stand.
