Columns Per table 1000 columns maximum
Per index (or clustered index) 32 columns maximum
Per bitmapped index 30 columns maximum
MySQL:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/column-count-limit.html
There is a hard limit of 4096 columns per table, but the
effective maximum may be less for a given table.
* MyISM: maximum row size of 65,535 bytes, max columns depend on column type.
* InnoDB: allows no more than 1000 columns.
