Update: The Diamondbacks placed Kubel (quadriceps) on the disabled list
Saturday, ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports.
Recommendation: Kubel underwent an MRI on Saturday, and the results
necessitated the trip to the DL. He appeared in Friday's game as a
pinch-hitter, so the team will be unable to backdate the move. In a
corresponding move, Cody Ross came off the DL.
