Well....Lucas was her teacher when she was a phd student(not advisor). They are both excellent economists. However, they have very different style and approach about economics if you read their papers. People in Chicago learning things from each other, no need to fall in love them(will be too many to love:)) : : 这个故事呢, 对我个人的感觉是, 如果要成为一名出色的经济学家, 数学可以不好... : : 但是一定要追到一个数学很好的女生呀! : : 与各位经济学板的男性板友共勉之! XD : Well... according to my observation, the later is harder. If you are a phd student already, my advice(from almost ALL professors in U of C) is: get a coauthor. --
