根据 AP 的报导，Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences 颁奖给他的理由是
"deepened our understanding of the relation between short-run and
long-run effects of economic policy"。
目前的新闻报导还不多，他确定是独自一个人拿到这个奖项。
这是 Columbia University 经济系在过去十一年内的第四个诺贝尔奖，包括
於得奖後不久过世的 William Vickrey。
