关於suit的用法与翻译 A suits B =?= B suits A
以下是我的想法

例如，以中文来说 "这个工作适合我" 或是 "我适合这个工作" 都表达一样的意思
但是英文好像只看到 "This job suits me" 并不会说 "I suit this job"
问题来了 如果两个都是sth呢？
例如"这个新政策不适合当代" = "当代不适合这个新政策"
但是我们好像会说 "The new policy doesn't suit the modern age"
并不会说 "The modern age doesn't suit the new policy"
不过...刚刚比较几个例句：
1.This dress suits Carol = This dress is suitable for Carol
2.He was just not suitable for the job
那照1.的逻辑的话，2.不就是可以写成 He just doesn't suit the job
这样变成就有sb suits sth 的例句了
总之，我自己真要解释的话 A适合B = A suits B , B适合A = B suits A
但是前後有略微不同，A适合B代表着B有种上位的感觉，A要"主动"来适合B??
以Free dictionary中有一句"This candidate does not suit our qualifications."
这个候选人不满足(适合)我们的条件，是"我们的条件"为上位去挑这个候选人
如果写成"Our qualifications don't suit this candidate"也是对的
只是意思略不同，变成"我们提出的条件"满足不了这个候选人
有明确的解释吗？谢谢!

这个例子是我举的 主要是举出A,B都是sth时 中文可说A适合B或是B适合A
那英文到底是"谁suit谁" 都可以但是不同文意?

总之 我主要想知道 I suit this job 是错的还是只是不同文意??

感觉第一篇的语意就是表达我猜的那样 I suit the job跟 The job suits me 有些差异
(谁配合谁的上下位差异)
而第二篇看下来就是文法都对拉 只是没人那样用@@
