标题[文法] 代名词与other用法

请问各位这两句:
1.One common preposition is from. Another common one is in. Others are by,for,
and of. The most frequently used prepositions in English are at ,by,for,from,
in,of,to,and with. What are some [other] prepositions?
请问各位[]可以用the other 吗? the other有剩余的意思(囊括所有剩余部分)不是比较
妥当吗?
另外请教各位another & other都是用在总数"种类"(像是已经知道狗，other/another为猫
，但会有其他种生物不明=总种类不明确)不明确的想法对吗?
而the other则是总数种类明确?(狗，the other为猫，则总种类只有两种=猫跟狗)
