标题[请益] themselves可以当副词吗?

问题1:or後面的are otherwise，are是动词，动词前面应该要+主词，但是主词跑哪去了?
问题2:any other functions是受词，that are not themselves reentrant是一个句子。
受词跟句子不能连在一起。
请问一下，这两句的文法该如何理解呢?

抱歉，我讲得清楚一点，any other functions是句子的受词，受词後面如果有继续接东西
的话，那个东西就是受词补语，用来修饰受词的。
这边的that are not themselves reentrant是受词补语，但that are not themselves
reentrant是一个完整的句子，并不能当补语，除非+一个that变成子句。
所以正确的句子应该是: any other functions that that(functions) are not.....re-
entrant。
那如果要用这种写法的话，为什麽不乾脆写成any other functions which are not re-
entrant呢?
