There was an important saying:All roads lead to Rome.
At that time,the emperors were trying to be connected to their provinces far
from the capital.
这句话的翻译是罗马皇帝想连结其他远离首都的地区
一般的句型是 A be connceted to B
在这里A被省略 想知道为什麽?是因为後面有capital 的关系吗
可以解释成 capital be connected to their provinces 吗?
这样省略 好像容易造成阅读上的困扰
另外不能写成
the emperors were trying to connect to their provinces far from the capital 吗?
这样好像又有点太中文式的思考了
