各位好，请教一下
我在英语论坛提了一个问题

内容是：
网友tedmc写了一段文字，几个小时以後，另一个网友YAMATO2201说:
Do you mean "... which you alone have a share in or are entrusted with"?
我想问的是，这里用Did/Do you mean ...哪个比较好？
查了一下网路资料，我说
a. Do you mean "... which you alone have a share in or are entrusted with"?
b. Did you mean "... which you alone have a share in or are entrusted with"?
Here are my thoughts:
(a) is used as a response to something that someone is saying/writing now, or
just said/wrote.
(b) is used as a response to something that someone said/wrote in the past
(some time ago).
But in the situation of my question, I don't know which one is more
appropriate.
Could you tell me your thoughts?

Posts are asynchronous but also resemble a conversation, so people may
respond as they would in speech to something posted a few hours ago.

不太懂Tdol想表达什麽？
我的翻译：
贴文虽然不是在同一时间张贴，但却像对话一样，因此人们可能会用如同说话的方式一般
，去回应几个小时前的贴文。
我理解这个句型的方式是：
people may respond (as they would in speech) to something ...
所以Tdol是说，虽然要回应的文章已经是几个小时之前，但回文者是「刚看到」而已，
在这样的情况下，就当成是刚刚发生的事情一样，可以用Do you mean ...
请问我的解读是否正确呢？谢谢。
（有时候觉得要理解英语使用者的思维还真不容易）
