各位好，请教一下
在牛津高阶八双解看到这样的例句：
Isobel, whose brother he was, had heard the joke before.
伊泽贝尔，就是他的弟弟，以前曾经听说过这个笑话。

"whose brother he was"翻译成「就是他的弟弟」是不是有问题啊？
我想这部份应该是这样来的：
he was Isobel's brother
→he was whose brother
→whose brother he was
但问题是Isobel是女性的名字

因此，应该是「他是她的弟弟」(he was her brother)才对吧？
如果照原来的翻译，应该改成
「伊泽贝尔，他是她的弟弟/就是他的姊姊，以前曾经听说过这个笑话。」

To reduce confusion, I would recast this to:
Isobel, his sister, had heard the joke before.
