标题[求译] 可以帮看我的翻译是否有误吗?

出处是一本讲述菲律宾总统杜特蒂的故事，其中有一段看不太懂，
试译如下，请问我的理解是否有误呢？
前文：
Eleanor’s voluminous attempt to mimic her father’s response was startling.
‘“WHAAAAAT?”’ she screeched.
原文：
It had the feel of a practiced rendition of a family favourite; today this
story features prominently in the presidential apocrypha.
试译：
很熟练地描述家庭宠儿的故事；今天，这个故事在总统的番外篇特别突出。
