各位好，请教一下这首歌的歌词

第一节第四行，But when they are done是什麽意思呢？
这句歌词对应影片第15秒，可看见左上背景中，有一个人拿个一根大菸要给另一个人，
但是对方拒绝了。
但我不太确定这个they are done是什麽意思，「他们被完成了（？）」
（下一句：然後你开始看见光亮）(？)
请教一下，谢谢。

但我看那边写
If something is done, or you are done with it, it is finished, or you have
finished doing, using it, etc.
感觉和歌词句意不合吧？我觉得这边歌词表达的是
「这些看起来有趣（但不好）的东西，被拒绝了之类的」
