想请教一段关於担保人的英文翻译
题目: 保证人是指与债权人约定，为主合同债务提供担保，当债务人不能履行债务时，
由保证人按照约定履行债务或者承担责任的一方当事人。
试译: A guarantor is a party who shall perform the obligation or take the
responsibility when a debtor is unable to repay the debt in terms of the
agreement reached with a creditor to provide assurance.
